Al Masih ad Dajjal vs Islam Understanding the Digital Fitna and Protecting Faith
Today’s world is running very fast. Everything is becoming faster — internet, communication and technology. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the world in many ways. From small daily tasks to big industries, AI is everywhere now. But one serious question comes in mind:
is this real progress… or a new type of fitna?
Islam already warned us that near the end time, fitna of social media in today’s world the biggest trial will appear — the fitna of Dajjal. Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ described this as the most dangerous fitna for humanity. And if we observe today’s digital world carefully, we can see small glimpses of that kind of deception already happening.
Concept of Dajjal: Not Only a Person, but a Deception System
According to Islamic teachings, Dajjal will be a real human who will appear near the end of times. But his biggest power will not just be physical strength. His real power will be deception.
- Deceiving people
- Showing false things as truth
- Manipulating reality and perception
This will be more psychological and visual, not just physical.
In today’s world, AI is also doing something similar in some ways. It can create images, videos and voices that look extremely real. Sometimes people cannot even tell what is real and what is fake.
Here one important concept we should understand:
Fitna
Fitna does not mean only a simple test how we are trapped in modern fitna. It means a situation where truth and falsehood get mixed, and people become confused.
AI: Help or Hidden Danger?
AI has many benefits, why truth sometimes feels hidden in our life no doubt. It helps in medicine, education, business, and daily life. It makes work easier and faster. But when AI is misused, it becomes dangerous.
Today AI is capable of:
- Creating deepfake videos where any person can be shown saying anything
- Spreading fake news very quickly across the world
- Influencing people emotions, opinions and thinking
- Blurring the line between reality and illusion
Because of this, a time may come when people will not trust even their own eyes. And this is exactly the kind of environment where deception can grow.
How We Slowly Became Slaves of Technology
Look at today’s lifestyle:
- People check their phone immediately after waking up
- They react to every notification without thinking
- They follow social media trends blindly
- Their opinions are shaped by algorithms
Slowly, independent thinking is becoming weak. People don’t take time to think deeply anymore.
And when a person stops thinking,
He becomes an easy target for deception and manipulation.
Are We Becoming Followers of Deception?
This is a hard reality, but we should face it.
Today many people:
- Share posts without verifying if they are true or false
- Promote fake or misleading information
- Run after worldly attraction and entertainment
- Ignore their religious responsibilities
- Depression and spiritual emptiness in modern life
These habits slowly make a person part of a system built on illusion and deception.
Dajjal will also attract people with worldly things and take them away from truth.
And today, many people are already moving in that same direction without realizing.
Current Situation: More Information, Less Understanding
Today we have unlimited information. But still, real understanding is decreasing.
- Every video looks real
- Every viral post feels believable
- Every trend is followed quickly
People think they know everything, but actually they are becoming more confused.
This creates a dangerous situation where people can be easily controlled, influenced, and misled.
Islamic Solution: How to Protect Yourself
Islam not only warns about problems, it also gives solutions.
1. Make your Imaan strong
First step is to build strong connection with Allah. Pray regularly, make dua, and remember Allah in daily life.
2. Develop critical thinking
Don’t accept everything blindly. Ask questions, verify information, and try to understand deeply.
3. Stay connected with Qur’an
Especially:
Surah Al-Kahf
Reading and understanding it every Friday is mentioned as protection from Dajjal’s fitna.
4. Control your digital life
Use technology, but don’t become its slave:
- Reduce screen time
- Avoid fake and harmful content
- Take breaks from social media
5. Learn difference between truth and false
Not everything that looks attractive is true. Learn to judge things wisely.
A Serious Wake-Up Call
The world is becoming more advanced, but humans are becoming spiritually weaker.
If we don’t protect our faith now, we may fall into a big deception later.
This is not something to ignore. It is a reminder to wake up and become aware.
Final Message
AI itself is not Dajjal.
But it can become a powerful tool that supports deception.
The real struggle today is:
- Protecting your faith
- Recognizing truth from falsehood
- Staying away from deception
If you are a believer,
then it is time to wake up and fix your direction now… because later it might be too late.
